Due to the small hydraulic diameter and large wetted perimeter of inclined tubes, the Reynolds number (Re) is reduced while the Froude number increases, providing optimal hydraulic conditions for sedimentation. The inclined tube sedimentation method has been recognized as a mature technology characterized by high surface loading capacity, small footprint, high efficiency, and easy operation and maintenance.
Our company adopts imported J330 ethylene-propylene copolymer-grade rigid sheets, manufactured in accordance with Ministry of Construction standards for inclined tube systems. These products demonstrate significantly superior performance compared with similar products made from other materials.
This system is used for grit removal at the inlet of high-turbidity water supply and drainage systems, sedimentation of domestic and industrial water, oil separation, and tailings concentration, among other applications. It is suitable for both new water supply and drainage projects as well as retrofitting and upgrading existing sedimentation tanks in older facilities.
Its main features include a large wetted perimeter and small hydraulic radius, resulting in improved laminar flow conditions where particle settling is not disturbed by turbulence. Its treatment capacity is far higher than that of horizontal flow sedimentation tanks, accelerated sedimentation tanks, and pulse sedimentation tanks.
