Overview

With the continuous changes in the quality and quantity of urban and industrial wastewater, as well as the increasing requirements of environmental protection laws for water treatment, the available land resources are becoming scarcer. This requires wastewater treatment systems to not only be flexible but also to save land as much as possible. The UNITANK process is an advanced wastewater treatment technology developed in response to these requirements. It combines the advantages of SBR, traditional activated sludge method, and the three-channel oxidation ditch. The integrated design not only has the characteristics of the SBR process but can also operate continuously at a constant water level like the traditional activated sludge method. Its operating conditions are similar to those of the three-channel oxidation ditch, allowing for continuous inflow and outflow treatment.

The UNITANK process has unique advantages:

1. It uses sequential control to create anaerobic, anoxic, and aerobic conditions, achieving phosphorus removal and nitrogen removal functions, with flexible operation.

2. High volume and equipment utilization rate.

3. In the alternating biological pool (UNITANK pool) used for wastewater treatment, it serves as the main device for the separation of sludge and water in the sedimentation tank.

The cross-flow inclined tube sedimentation device has a small water flow diameter and a large wet perimeter, providing hydraulic conditions for sedimentation, accelerating the separation of sludge and water in the sedimentation tank, and shortening the hydraulic retention time. This significantly reduces the area of the alternating biological sedimentation tank, saving engineering investment. The cross-flow inclined tube sedimentation method is used in the UNITANK pool, which has advantages such as small footprint, good effect, and convenient management.
