WT Series Pipeline Mixer

The BAF aeration system consists of a blower, air main pipe, air branch pipe, distribution square pipe, distribution branch pipe, and single-hole membrane aerator. The air source generated by the blower is distributed to the air branch pipe through the air main pipe.

Structure and Principle of Action

The pipeline mixer generally consists of three sections (the number of sections can be increased based on the properties of the mixed medium). Each section of the mixer has a fixed helical blade twisted at 80°, available in both left-handed and right-handed versions. The rotation direction of the helical blades in adjacent sections is opposite and staggered by 90°. To facilitate the installation of the helical blades, the body is made into two semicircles, connected by flanges at both ends. The helical blades of the mixer do not move; they rely solely on the operation of the materials or media being mixed, without external energy. The main functions are flow division, radial mixing, reverse rotation, and two types of media.
Continuous intense mixing and diffusion achieve the mixing purpose.

Main Design Data

1. The diameter of the mixer is selected based on the economic flow rate, generally calculated at 0.9-1.2 m/s; for diameters greater than 500 mm, the flow rate can reach 1.5 m/s. If conditions allow, increase the diameter by 50-100 mm to reduce head loss.

2. The basic combination of the number of mixer sections considers a head loss of about 0.4-0.8 m, and the number of sections can be adjusted based on the water pressure of the mixed medium.

3. The water pressure inside the mixer is considered at 1.0 kg/cm². Equipment processing can also be based on actual pressure.
